James Dudek, Director of Organizational Strategy for SAIT gave us 3 tips for managers as it relates to building a learning community in one’s own organization:

  1. Surf LinkedIn to find out what other managers are doing for professional development activities.
  2. Consider joining a work group on LinkedIn to keep abreast of conversations in your field. Encourage your staff to do the same.
  3. Figure out what kinds of certifications people in your field have and see if there is a way to get your staff certified.
